Okay so that was a big statement… Perhaps these aren’t all the BEST soundtracks but they are some of my favourite soundtracks from movies. From musicals to just great films here is a list of my favourite. (Not including Disney or other children’s movies because that could take me ALL day…)
The Greatest Showman
I’ve already written a review of the movie as a whole, it was awe-inspiring, but not only was the movie and story beautiful, the whole soundtrack was too.
There was no song that was the stand out song, they were all the standout songs.
Sing Street
This film is hilarious, it’s a perfect coming of age film and the soundtrack is as brilliant as the film.
Set in the 80s you have the classic songs throughout the movie and then some absolute corkers that are written specially for the movie, that tell the story through music. (It’s not a classic musical, but it’s a music film).
Pulp Fiction
(quick disclaimer – I’ve never watched Pulp Fiction!) However, I grew up listening to the soundtrack and LOVED it so I just need to watch the film and then I’ll feel like I really (deserve to) love it.
Guardians of the Galaxy (Awesome Mix, Vol 1)
Ever since watching this in the cinema I’ve loved the soundtrack.
When there are artists like Bowie and The Runaways on a soundtrack, can you really ever dislike it?
Labyrinth
You remind me of the babe.
I don’t even need to explain why this is my favourite, if you know, you know.
If I could make an endless list of my favourite movie soundtracks, I would but I’ve created a Spotify playlist instead which will be added to regularly, so keep your eyes peeled 👀
