TV Tuesday – Sherlock *photoset*

Here’s the next TV Tuesday post, I was recently walking through central London being a tourist in my own city when I stumbled across ‘Speedy’s Cafe’ and I instantly realised where I had found, it was Sherlocks House from the TV series! So I popped back a few days later and snapped this photo set as I just knew it would be the perfect post!

FUN FACT
Sherlocks house in the TV series isn’t in Baker Street, it is in fact in North Gower Street, at number 168, to film the scenes with 221B on the door the production company drill the numbers over the existing one!

Sherlock has had 4 series, they started in 2010 and have had the final ever episode in January of this year (2017), it was title The Final Problem, which had a sort of torture house vibe to it, which showed just how much effort goes into creating such an impressive series.

If somehow you’ve never seen or heard of Sherlock the TV series, it’s a new and contemporary way of interpreting Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s world famous Sherlock series.

It features award winning actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock and Dr Watson, all of the episodes are named after titles of the books and are adapted in a modern day way of seeing a detective.

They truly are impressive episodes, so grab some popcorn and sit down to watch it on Netflix, and don’t forget to go and find Speedy’s Cafe and his house above it!

There’s also a museum on Baker Street for the famous detective.
