Nell is twenty-six and has never been to Paris. She has never even been on a weekend away with her boyfriend. Everyone knows she is just not the adventurous type.
But, when her boyfriend doesn’t turn up for their romantic mini-break, Nell has the chance to prove everyone wrong.
Alone in Paris, Nell meets the mysterious moped-riding Fabien and his group of carefree friends.
Could this turn out to be the most adventurous weekend of her life?
Nells friends know her boyfriend Pete is an idiot that he doesn’t deserve her, and she didn’t believe them until it came to Paris.
Nell really isn’t the adventurous type so when she booked tickets to Paris for her and her boyfriend she not only surprised her friends and family, she surprised herself.
On her way to St Pancras International she receives a text from Pete saying “Sorry babe. Caught up at work. Not going to make it” but promises to catch a later train and meet her later on.
Only he breaks that promise and Nell is left in her hotel room which was double booked by the hotel meaning she’s stuck sharing her room with an angry American.
Deciding to not let her idiot – possible ex – boyfriend ruin her night, she sets off to find food. The smug woman behind the reception sends her to a lovely little restaurant down the road where it’s suitable for people to “eat alone”.
Her night seems to go from bad to worse, when she manages to spill red wine all over her waiter and subsequently ruin his night too.
The next morning Nell decides she hates Paris (because of Pete) and just wants to get out of the city and get home to forget her failed adventure, however the next Eurostar to get home is at 5pm which means she’ll miss her last train home, this is the icing on the cake for Nell, she’s stuck in Paris for another night, not knowing any where or anyone.
She puts away any anxiety she has and decides she’ll go exploring where she ends up meeting Fabien, the waiter from last night, as an apology she invites him into an art exhibition she’s going to and that’s when they really start to hit it off.
After an explosion of lust between the two of them, Nell and Fabien end up spending the day and night together only to be interrupted by Pete finally making his way to Paris, will Nell let him ruin her plans with Fabien?
